Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 25 February 2020
Jeet Construction successfully delivered the Green Diamond residential building in Arjan, Dubai, a project that demonstrates the integration of sustainable engineering and construction practices in residential developments.
The building has achieved annual carbon emission savings of approximately 128 tons through the use of renewable energy systems.
The project was developed by Diamond Developers, with Jeet Construction responsible for delivering the building works in line with the project’s sustainability standards.
Green Diamond features one of the largest rooftop solar installations for a residential building in the UAE, with 480 solar panels and a total capacity of 160 kW, generating approximately 264,000 kWh of clean energy annually. The solar system powers common building facilities including elevators, lighting, air conditioning systems, and shared amenities.
In addition to renewable energy generation, the development incorporates a range of sustainability initiatives including urban agriculture spaces and greenhouse facilities, enabling residents to grow fresh produce and promote a more environmentally responsible lifestyle.
Completed in 2018, the project includes 194 residential units along with shared amenities such as a swimming pool and landscaped community areas. The development demonstrates how sustainable engineering, renewable energy integration, and responsible construction practices can contribute to lower-carbon residential communities in the UAE.
