Sharjah, UAE, 15 January 2024: Construction of Phase Two villas at Sharjah Sustainable City has reached a key milestone, with handover of residential units now underway.
The project, developed through a partnership between Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) and Diamond Developers, spans approximately 825,000 square feet in the Al Rahmaniyah area of Sharjah and has been designed to meet the highest standards of social, environmental, and economic sustainability.
Jeet Construction has delivered the villas with a focus on high-performance building systems and sustainable construction practices. The homes incorporate rooftop solar panels, energy-efficient construction materials, smart home automation systems, and water-saving technologies, enabling residents to achieve up to 50% savings in electricity and water consumption.
The community also integrates key sustainability infrastructure including a waste-to-energy biogas plant, vertical farming facilities, and a central Green Spine, supporting urban agriculture and water reuse across the development.
Sharjah Sustainable City further promotes a walkable and active lifestyle through cycling and jogging tracks, green parks, recreational spaces, and community amenities, contributing to a future-ready residential environment aligned with the UAE’s sustainability ambitions.
