Abu Dhabi, UAE – 18 July 2024
The Sustainable City – Yas Island has achieved the prestigious Estidama 5 Pearl classification for the design of its homes — the highest rating under Abu Dhabi’s Pearl Villa Rating System (PVRS). The milestone reflects the project’s strong commitment to sustainable development and high-performance construction standards.
Developed through a partnership between Aldar Properties and SEE Holding, the community incorporates advanced sustainable design features, including energy-efficient building systems, water conservation measures, extensive green spaces, and pedestrian-friendly urban planning.
Jeet Construction is delivering the project with a focus on integrating sustainable construction practices and high-quality engineering execution. The homes will be powered by solar panels installed across residential and parking structures, supporting significant reductions in energy consumption while enhancing long-term environmental performance.
The community design also features energy- and water-efficient infrastructure, a central green spine running through the development, and biodomes that support community farming initiatives. In addition, sustainable mobility is encouraged through a network of battery-powered buggies and bicycles, promoting walkability and accessibility across the neighborhood.
The achievement of the Estidama 5 Pearl rating highlights the project’s role in advancing sustainable urban development in Abu Dhabi, while demonstrating the collaboration between developers, engineers, and construction teams in delivering high-performance communities aligned with the UAE’s sustainability ambitions.
